Opportunity: Sales and Marketing Coordinator/Office Manager, Full Time
Position Description:

The Sales and Marketing Coordinator aspect of this position requires this individual to serve as the primary contact for all clients, consistently and systematically following up on sales leads as well as answering any questions that current and potential clients have about the services offered. The Office Manager aspect of this position requires that this individual provide critical administrative support for the day-to-day operations of Stratus Prep, to ensure office efficiency and an exceptional customer experience. 

As the first person our clients encounter by phone or in person, the individual in this position must understand the importance of customer service, always exhibiting a pleasant demeanor, professional appearance, and exceptional people skills.  The individual must have the capacity to work unpredictable night/weekend hours in addition to normal business hours, as the company operates in a fast-paced, exciting, and collaborative entrepreneurial fashion.  Finally, organization, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure are critical to be successful in this role.

Core responsibilities:
  •  Prospect research and management – Finding potential clients through internet research or referrals, systematically contacting and following up on those potential clients through email or phone, tracking the contact information and status of those potential clients on Excel
  • Event management – Organizing and coordinating all logistical aspects of test prep classes and sales presentations, such as ordering supplies and class materials, timing practice tests, ordering refreshments when necessary, printing and distributing handouts, and creating/passing around sign up sheets
  •  Communication coordination – Answering phones, taking and delivering messages appropriately, screening written and verbal communications while resolving inquiries when possible, monitoring various email accounts consistently
  •   Executive administrative support – Supporting the Founder/CEO on a wide range of activities across a variety of functions, including but not limited to maintaining his personal and professional calendar, coordinating his travel and meetings as necessary, flagging important incoming emails, maintaining his files, preparing memos and documents for his signature, and ensuring that incoming documents are efficiently reviewed by him and then filed/forwarded as necessary
  •  Additional responsibilities as assigned  
Qualifications:

Salary and Benefits:

Commensurate with experience but directly proportional to the amount of business Director brings in. Structure includes a base salary along with a commission and bonus structure with exceptional healthcare benefits. Opportunity: Director of Sales and Marketing, Full Time
Position Description:

With approximately 100% year-over-year growth consistently since its inception, Stratus Prep is now searching for a full-time, dedicated sales and marketing professional to join its entrepreneurial team and help take the business to the next level. The Director of Sales and Marketing will conceive, launch, and execute client acquisition initiatives, in order to meet quarterly and annual revenue and acquisition targets. This individual will be responsible for every aspect of the sales and marketing function, from constructing creative ways to tap into potential new sales channels to undertaking one-on-one consultations with potential clients to “close the sale.” Proven success in the standardized test prep and admissions counseling spaces and in managing several projects concurrently is required, along with a highly motivated drive to exceed quantitative targets. The candidate who succeeds in this position will have significant growth opportunities within the company including (but not limited to) building and leading a national (and eventually global) sales and marketing team as the company continues to grow.

Core responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute initiatives to meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Consult with potential clients to share Stratus Prep’s offerings and describe its unique value proposition.
  • Create and maintain a prospect database, consistently following up on prospects at the appropriate time.
  • Conceive of, develop, and manage short, medium, and longer-term sales and marketing plans leveraging a range of approaches to client acquisition including (but not limited to) online viral/social marketing and sales, grassroots events, guerrilla campaigns, corporate and university partnerships, as well as a robust referral program.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years in a sales and marketing capacity in the test prep and admissions counseling industry.
  • Excellent consultative sales skills, with a natural ability to form strong and personalized connections with prospects and current clients (for up selling).
  • Outstanding overall communication skills and capacity to modify outreach approaches given context or prospective client.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple, time-sensitive tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated capacity to be resourceful, adaptable, mature, and upbeat within a small business environment.
  • Passion for and knowledge of this industry.
  • Motivation to meet and exceed targets set by firm’s president.

JOB TITLE: Law School Admissions Counselor
Position Description:

Stratus Prep has the strictest recruitment criteria in the industry. We believe that the number one factor affecting applicant success is counselor quality, so we hire only the best, train them intensely, and arm them with a superior methodology. Stratus Prep seeks a knowledgeable and highly motivated individual to offer counseling in all the following areas:

Law School Selection: Help evaluate the law schools that are most suited to a student's skills and objectives. Give professional and unbiased opinion of prospects for success in applying to law school.

Law School Admissions Strategies: Plan and execute a customized admissions strategy, tailor-made to student' background, interests, and goals. Assist students with mitigating weaknesses and highlighting strengths.

Law School Application Essays: Help ensure that application essays convey student's unique potential as a future lawyer. Work with students to help draw out and articulate accomplishments and "story," setting them apart from the competition. Offer insider knowledge of the admissions process to help write impactful personal and diversity statements.

Letters of Reference Guidance: Give start-to-finish guidance on the solicitation of letters of recommendation, choice, and management of recommendations.

Responsibilities:

The Stratus Prep Admissions Counselors must make a commitment to meet evenings and weekends, averaging a minimum of 5 hours of counseling per week. Counselors must sign a non-compete contract, agreeing not to offer services for any other company or independently. (Note: Stratus Prep does not hire any individuals who are bound by non-compete agreements with other companies.)

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have prior experience working successfully with law school applicants.
  • Relatively flexible schedule, particularly during evenings and weekends.

JOB TITLE: LSAT Tutor
Position Description:

Stratus Prep has the strictest tutor recruitment criteria in the industry. We believe that the number one factor affecting student performance is teacher quality, so we hire only the best tutors, train them intensely, and arm them with a superior curriculum. All of our tutors have scored in the top 1% on a real LSAT examination (173+) and have at least two years of prior teaching experience. Stratus Prep seeks talented and highly motivated individuals to offer LSAT tutoring out of our New York location. Tutors who are able to meet or exceed 20 hours of tutoring per week will be entitled to company healthcare benefits after six months with the firm.

Responsibilities:

The Stratus Prep tutors must make a commitment to teach evenings and weekends, averaging a minimum of 5 hours of instruction per week. Tutors must sign a non-compete contract, agreeing not to teach/tutor the LSAT for any other companies or independently. (Note: Stratus Prep does not hire any individuals who are bound by non-compete agreements with other companies.)

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two years teaching/tutoring experience & expertise.
  • Must have scored in the 99th percentile or above (173 or higher on the current scale) on an actual LSAT administered by the Law School Admission Council.
  • Relatively flexible schedule, particularly during evenings and weekends.
  • Must have a passion for teaching and the ability to convey LSAT concepts to students effectively.

The starting salary for TestWell LSAT tutors is among the highest in the LSAT preparation industry. TestWell LSAT instructors are paid a starting salary of $50 per hour for tutoring.

Tutors who are able to meet or exceed 20 hours of tutoring per week will be entitled to company healthcare benefits after six months with the firm.

The Stratus Prep tutors must make a commitment to teach evenings and weekends, averaging a minimum of 5 hours of instruction per week. JOB TITLE: Weekend Receptionist
Position Description:

Stratus Prep a standardized test preparation company seeks a talented and highly motivated individual to offer reception/office support during weekend hours. The role provides a unique opportunity to join a team of education professionals with a passion for helping students reach their academic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Answer telephones, screen calls, take and deliver messages.
Greet, assist and direct all visitors and clients who check-in at the front desk.
Notifies instructors and other staff of students arrival for scheduled appointments.

Required Qualifications:
  • Must have High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years relevant experience, with a demonstrated ability to multitask efficiently, solve problems, and handle changing priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized and attentive to details, with good follow-up skills.
  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be skilled in telephone, message-taking, and Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Must possess a calm demeanor and be able to work effectively in high stress situations.
  • Friendly to all those who find themselves in the reception area.
  • Must be available to work weekends only (approx. 16hrs/week).
